Nestled amidst the lush greenery of Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, MMM mangoes are more than just a fruit; they’re a culmination of generations of passion, expertise, and dedication. Our story begins in 1935, with Omar Ahmed Mukadam, a small-scale farmer and local mango trader in Nirul, Ratnagiri. Driven by a love for mangoes and a keen sense of business, Omar Ahmed Mukadam leased trees from other farmers and sold his produce in Mumbai’s Crawford Market, laying the foundation for what would become a thriving mango empire.
The 1960s saw the arrival of the next generation, with Omar Ahmed Mukadam’s sons, Murad Omar Mukadam and Rafiq Mukadam, joining the business. Fired with an ambitious spirit, they embarked on a significant expansion plan. Their vision led them to acquire farms around the Pawas area, meticulously building an estate that now encompasses over 100 acres and boasts a flourishing orchard of around 5,000 trees. Recognizing the importance of quality control and sustainable practices, they established a dedicated nursery. This nursery not only serves as a source for their own orchards but also plays a vital role in their commitment to excellence. The nursery functions not just as a supplier but also as a hub for research, constantly innovating and implementing techniques to cultivate the highest quality mangoes.
In 2002, with the passing of Murad Omar Mukadam, the baton was passed on to his sons, Mudassar and Musaddiq Mukadam. Upholding their father’s legacy, they further expanded the mango orchards by acquiring an additional 40 acres. Their ambitions extended beyond Ratnagiri, venturing into the national and international markets. MMM mangoes began their journey across India, reaching discerning customers all over the country. Their reputation for quality transcended borders, leading them to establish a presence in the Middle East as well.
MMM mangoes didn’t just find favor with individual consumers; their commitment to excellence attracted some of the biggest names in the food industry. They became trusted suppliers to leading companies like Mother’s Dairy, Allana Foods, Parle, and PepsiCo, ensuring that their premium mangoes graced the shelves of supermarkets and found their way into popular food products.
